We have embraced the need for our buildings to be sustainable and have a track record of leading the way. Completed in October 2010 it will be Wales’ first hotel constructed to a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Standard.

Our expertise stretches across a variety of renewable technologies as evidenced by NPT Homes new offices were completed in July 2013 delivering  solar thermal and photovoltaic arrays, natural ventilation which served from a stand alone energy centre which also housed the standby generator systems which was included, primarily, to serve the building’s extensive IT features.

All of our residential construction for Registered Social Landlords meets the Welsh Government Development Quality Requirements which set out basic requirement relating to space and amenity for sustainable living.

We have embraced the need for sustainability in all their developments and have incorporated The Code for Sustainable Homes into the design and construction of their properties for the last 5 years, in our contract and residential housebuilding. The Code is the national standard for the sustainable design and construction of new homes. It aims to reduce carbon emissions and promote higher standards of sustainable design above the current minimum standards set out by the building regulations.

Brief description of the scheme: The new building which was built on the site of the former Salisbury Hotel in Ferndale has been constructed as a community facility for Rhondda Life and also doubles as the clubhouse for Ferndale RFC. The building contains three function rooms and three bar areas.
