Further to our recent Contract Award from the Vale of Glamorgan Council for the £9million development at Hayes Wood Road, we are pleased to now have broken ground on the project; a 54 unit Social Housing Development in Sully. The scheme contains a mix of houses and apartments. It will be constructed to achieve Welsh Government DQR, Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design standards, utilising Modern Methods of Construction.
Works have started extremely well, and to date we have already completed a 600ml strip of the site with two excavators & dumper on site. Ecology works have been undertaken sensitively, and over the next few weeks we will be starting the road & plot groundworks.
Hayes Wood Road will continue the successful collaboration with VoGC following on from our Brecon Court scheme. Construction Director Martin Workman commented: “Jehu are delighted to be working with Vale of Glamorgan Council again, building on the success of the scheme in Brecon Court. The relationships established during the previous scheme will certainly benefit the partnership working on this project. We’re pleased that the scheme has got off to a great start since recently breaking ground.”
