Lynsey Holley-Matthews, Marketing & Responsible Business Manager of leading Welsh property and construction firm Jehu Group has been shortlisted for the Director of the Year – Corporate Social Responsibility at the finals of the 2018 IoD Director of the Year Awards.
Jehu Group is a family run business which is currently working on over twenty construction projects across South Wales.
Lynsey said: “I am delighted to be shortlisted for the UK finals on behalf of Jehu, this is such a prestigious award. The group has had another excellent year of growth in which we’ve made a real difference to the communities in which we work. Jehu’s sense of social purpose and commitment to doing business in a responsible and sustainable way is at the heart of the organisation and is reflected not just in the success of the business but in the sense of pride, strong values, hard work and commitment from everyone who works here.”
Andrew Lycett, Finance & Operations Director added that “We made a decision last year to invest in a more strategic approach to Responsible Business. The Welsh IOD Award and UK finalist nomination shows that our approach of taking a stronger lead for our clients and partners is maximising our collective impact in our communities and on Jehu as a great place to work”
The finalists were chosen from the hundreds of directors that entered into one of the 13 heats across the UK, in 10 different categories.
The expert judging panel will now convene to decide the overall winners to be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 18 October 2018 at the Royal Horticultural Halls.
Stephen Martin, Director General of the Institute of Directors, said:
“The winners from our regions and nations present fantastic examples of business leadership, and it’s heartening to be able to bring their stories to the attention of a wider audience at the finals. I am looking forward to celebrating their success at this year’s event.”
