Chris King is named Regional Site Manager of the Year at the 2018 LABC Warranty Awards

Chris King, Site Manager at Jehu, Welsh independent property and construction company has been named as LABC Warranty Wales Regional Site Manager of the Year at Glan Afan.

Chris picked up the award for his work on the £7m Coastal Housing Group scheme which is based on the former Glan Afan School site.

LABC Warranty recognises the dedication and commitment it takes to deliver quality sites and every year Site Managers across the country are rewarded for their exceptional contribution to construction with our regional and national Site Manager Awards.

The investment is one of a number of projects in Port Talbot’s regeneration programme, which will see over £35 million invested in and around the town centre, partly funded by the Welsh Government’s Vibrant and Viable Places Programme. The project has also received funding of £2.5m from the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant Programme.

The site and will provide 47 new homes and commercial space fronting Station Road and completion of the development is targeted for the end of 2018.

Chris’ counterpart Glen Colcombe who is based at other Coastal Housing development site at Park Road in Swansea, was also shortlisted within the site manager category and successfully highly commended.

Our partnership with LABC means together we can provide building control and warranty for developers throughout England and Wales using the combined technical expertise of over 3,500 surveyors.

LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors are responsible for nominating Site Managers who go the extra mile and through our partnership with LABC, the Site Manager Award is presented at each of the regional LABC Building Excellence Award ceremonies where each award winner secures a place at the national finals later this year.
